The past few months, I have been working on my family history. We have known for a long time that we need to work on it. My dads family all came from Holland. My dad is full dutch, and we are the first generation of mormons. So we have felt strongly that we need to get their work done for them. It just seemed really overwhelming to try to get started. I had to just go off of what I knew about my family, and I got on ancestry.com and have found so much stuff. I also found some dutch websites that has helped a lot. It has been a lot of fun! I have learned so much by doing their work, it is like learning about history through their stories. There has been some neat things that have happened, that we can't explain.
My dad's grandparents on both sides are dutch immigrants. They came from Holland to come to America. They both were dairy farmers in Holland, so they came to California and started up their own dairy's in America. They later came to Idaho, and started a dairy here. My dads mom, Kay was the only one that was born in America. Her mom was working in her flower beds, when a milk truck lost control, and hit her in her own yard and killed her. My grandma was about 15 years old, so she learned how to become a good cook, and had to take care of her brothers.

Family History
My Dutch Ancestors
These are my great grandparents, Harm and Antje, and their sons, Lomme, Sybren and Jelle.
These are my grandma Kay's parents and brothers in Holland. Her mom and dad are Harm Heida and Antje Tuinhout. They later came to America and had my grandma Kay.
My Saddle
Casey had Ron Rose build a saddle for me. Last year Casey had Ron make one for him, and then Casey decided to have another one made. I haven't been able to ride a horse for a long time. It was hard with my kids being so little, they wouldn't let me leave them. So I'm excited now that my kids are getting older to be able to go riding. The only problem is we have a bunch of wild horses that you couldn't even pay me to get on! So hopefully we can get some good horses some time. 
Club house
It was so funny. The other day I was in the other room doing stuff, and I came into the kitchen, and seen that Aiden and Laynee made a little club house under my table. It was pretty cute, so I had to get a picture of it. They had brought the sticks that Chase gets to make bows and arrows out of, and put them in there too. It's always nice when they get a long and find ways to have fun. 
Big sister
It is so nice to have Riley around with Laynee. She helps out with her a lot. Luckily Laynee likes to go with Riley. She helps Laynee to go to the bathroom, and get her drinks, and to play with her. We are trying to get Laynee potty trained right now! Laynee thinks she's ready now, and so if she has an accident, she has to change her diaper. So we have been going through a lot of diapers right now. She is in that inbetween stage, I am not ready to get rid of the diapers completely yet.

Christmas day
On our way to the movies all the kids fell asleep! I was wishing I could join them!
