Laynee!

Laynee had another birthday and is now 5, I can't believe my baby is 5 already. She was so excited for her birthday to come, she had Riley make her a chain to count down the days to her birthday. Laynee has turned into quite the character lately, she loves to sing..... we were laughing yesterday because she was playing a game on the computer and singing to the background music on her game.... which didn't match her songs at all. It was hilarious, because she doesn't just sing, she really gets into it!

 

She has been a fun, and very busy kid. In fact, she is like the ending firecracker at the end of the fireworks show...... she has been my most destructive child, but we love her so much!

California!

My Great Aunt Helen died on Oct. 17th and she lived to be 95 almost 96 years. She was always so nice to us, and we hadn't seen her for a long time. When we found out she died we decided to ride up to California with my dad and Uncle Mike to go to her funeral in Oceanside California. It was a great trip, to be able to ride up with my dad and Mike, and my sisters. 

Makala luckily remembered her camera, so she was nice enough to share these pictures with us. Here we are with my dad.

After the funeral, we went and visited the beach. This was a really short trip, and it would have been fun to visit for a couple more days. The humidity there is a killer on my hair..... I turn into cousin it!

This dock was really neat, it felt like it went farther out on the ocean than it looks from here. There were all kinds of clams and starfish clinging to the poles holding up the bridge. We ate at the restaurant at the end of this dock. It was fun!

Gini and Luke stayed later than we did. They rode up separately, and stayed for another day. Makala took this picture of the dock at night, it  is so pretty! I definitely want to visit the beach again next summer.

Halloween!

This year while I was trying to get our yearly halloween pictures, Chase decided he was too cool to dress up. So instead he decided to try to help out my picture taking a little.....
