Casey's stash!

I had a good laugh today at what I found..... and it's all my fault. After being married for 12 years, I can say that my eating habits have rubbed off on Casey..... especially when I found this stash of candy bars he has been hiding from the kids!

I will explain myself!

I feel the need to explain myself, a lot of people probably think I have fallen off my rocker because of how political I have become. Let me first say, that I love my country, and I have been very concerned about the way things are going concerning our government. I love our constitution, and I believe that the Founding Fathers were truly inspired to create the most free government known to mankind. I see how many of our freedoms are slowly being stripped away, and I decided I have had enough. I didn't want to be known as the type of person who watches all of this happen, and just sat back and did nothing..... so that's why I have decided to do something.

Two nights ago, I had the opportunity to meet Chick Heileson, who is running for Congress against Mike Simpson. He had dinner with me, and my sister Gini and her husband Luke, his brother and wife, the owners son of the NCCS, and Chase. It was great, I was concerned that there would be a flaw with him, like there usually is with other politicians, but he has never run for politics before, and he is great. He has studied the constitution since he was 17 years old, and he is very knowledgeable about the constitution. So we decided to help him get elected. Today me and my sisters went all through Wendell and handed out a brochure about him.... let me tell you this has been an educational experience. I realized how little people actually vote. It was usually the elderly people who vote.. how sad. Something has got to change if we are tired of what's happening around us. So there it is for ya, I guess you can still think I am weird or crazy, but atleast I can have peace with myself in knowing that I have tried to change something.

Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish a Happy Mother's day to my beautiful mom, and mother-in-law.... they are both beautiful on the inside and out, and I appreciate them so much. I owe so much to my mom, for all she had to go through in raising us, if it weren't for her example me and my sisters and brother wouldn't be where we are now, and words can't express my gratitude for her. My mother-in-law deserves so much too for raising the son she did, he is the best person for me!  I am also so thankful that I have had the honor to be a mother to my 4 beautiful kids, I think to myself everyday how lucky I am that Heavenly Father not only sent us here on earth with our families, but to be able to have a family of our own to raise, I am so thankful for all that I have.

Memorial

On  Saturday we had the memorial for my grandma Kay. It was nice to see everyone again, but sad it has to be a funeral to have a family reunion. We had to get a picture with everyone again, since it has been quite a while since we have seen all of our cousins!
