Birthdays!

We had great news today, Rachel had her baby and everything went good. He weighed 7lbs. 10 oz. Lucky for him he gets to have his birthday on Halloween!Also lucky for Angie, her birthday is on Halloween too! I just wanted to say happy birthday! You are such a great sister and I love you!

Halloween!

Halloween was great this year! We went to a party that required everyone to dress up... including adults. Chase looks kind of scary! He is a clown of some sort
Casey is looking festive and I decided to revive the 80's and 90's , the sad thing is those are my old pants and man I forgot how high our pants used to be!

Gini and Luke's family were the skin family! I bet they're going to have a fun time combing out their hair... luckily there's an extra hour before church tomorrow!

Carving pumpkins

The kids had fun carving pumpkins. The little ones started and then decided to let me finish. We found that the breeding sleeves come in pretty handy while carving pumpkins!

Riley's first Rodeo

Riley barrel raced in the LBRA rodeo over the weekend. I guess she didn't really race, but she actually went faster than I thought she would. She is still learning, so we weren't expecting her to win or anything, but she looked cute out there riding. The next rodeo Chase and Riley will both be in it. Chase is going to do break away roping, and Riley will do Barrels. They are both just starting out, so we'll see how this goes.

School

Well I decided to venture out this year and homeschool my kids. To tell you the truth I never thought I would have done this. I came to the decision mostly because of Chase. He has had such a hard time in school the past few years, and I have felt that he would do better with one on one attention. I have put the feeling aside for a while because it is a big undertaking. Finally, over the summer I had a strong impression that I needed to do it. So I couldn't ignore it any longer. So far it's been going well. I decided with Chase to do an online school called the Liahona, it is actually a private school in Utah that they air online. It is really a good school, they teach history the way kids should learn history. Chase has been learning more, since he actually enjoys school now. Aiden has learned all of his ABC's and the sounds so I'm excited. I know it's not always going to go so well, but I feel it is worth it.
