For Young women's in excellence, I was in charge of making some temple pictures to give to the girls. Our theme is "be loyal to the Royal within you". I found these pictures on pinterest, and loaded it onto picnik and added the saying at the bottom. I had them printed at Costco, I think they turned out pretty nice!
This is the finished product!
The materials I used to make it was a long 48" pine board, the I cut it down into 8" widths. I had to get 6 out of each board, so to make one for yourself wouldn't require that length. I stained the wood with ebony stain. Then I glued everything on with mod podge. I like the look how it turned out, it looks like the picture is canvas. Believe me, this was easy, if I could do it anyone could do it.
I added a top layer of varnish to give it a little more shine.
UPDATE: I need to update this and let everyone know that it works better to use rubber cement behind the pictures. Just put it on the corners and x it in the middle and then roll it down with a rolling pin. Then add mod podge over the top..... will definitely save some time!
