The many DESTRUCTIVE adventures of Laynee!

I needed to write these down before I forget someday how destructive Laynee is. It's funny because she is the most easy going kid I have as far as her personality goes, but as far as destroying and getting into things..... that is a different story. I am going to make a list of everything I can remember off the top of my head what Laynee has done.....


1-Color on my walls upstairs with a dry erase marker, and I'm not talking about a little, it was around the whole perimeter of the room, and she even got on top of her play kitchen and colored on the ceiling with it.... and this was after I had just repainted it because she colored on the walls with pen.

2-Color on my fireplace and wood floors with a sharpie.... luckily I got it off my floors, but it didn't come off our fireplace, and again this wasn't a little, it was around our island in our kitchen.

3- Spilled bright pink fingernail polish on the carpet in Riley's room, and on the stairs..... that didn't come out!

4- Cut her hair several times, finally she looked like she had a mullet, so we had to chop it down and make it even..... it is finally starting to grow a little.

5- Laynee and Nyah locked themselves in Makala's room while we were gone visiting my grandma Kay, when we found them they had got into Makala's fingernail polish and painted their legs from their feet to above their knees, it wasn't just a little, you could peel it off their skin, and spilled it all over Gini's carpet. They pretty much ruined Gini's carpet!


6- Got into my smoothing serum for my hair and got it all over the carpet on our stairs..... that was fun to clean up!

These are things that she has done just this week!

7- Drip dish soap down my hallway, and left a bigger mess of it at the end of the hallway.

8- got into my Victoria Secret body butter and smeared it all over my carpet in my room.

9- They.... as in Laynee and Aiden got into the chocolate frosting, and painted the closet door upstairs with it... Chase and Riley were supposed to be babysitting.

10- Sprayed Scentsy air freshener all over our new printer.... when I seen that something looked greasy on it, I wiped it and it warped our printer..... I have decided that Scentsy air freshener isn't too healthy to breathe!

11- Has flooded our bathroom sink a number of times and got water all over the floors.

12- Spilled a bag of Doritos on the carpet... after I just got the house all cleaned so someone could come and look at our house after a miraculous year of no lookers!

OK here's another one I remember, but this wasn't this week

13- Laynee and Aiden decided to make a slip and slide on our kitchen floor with nothing protecting it, and poured lots of water on it, and were sliding on it....

So as you can see, I have my hands busy and can't turn my back on her for a minute. Let's hope she will grow out of this someday..........doesn't she look so innocent!

Aiden's 6

Aiden turned 6 this year, he had a good birthday and had his cousins and grandma's and grandpa come over. I can't believe how old he is getting, time goes by too fast!

Grandma Kay

Today my grandma Kay passed away. I am so thankful that I was able to be there with her when she passed on. She found out a few weeks ago that she had breast cancer, and it has spread all through her body, into her brain and bones. We didn't realize it would be only a matter of a few weeks before she died.

My grandma was a funny person, she was terrified of a lot of things including heights. I am pretty sure that I have inherited that trait from her, as well as my sisters and some of our kids. I remember when I was little we were watching Quigley Down Under, and she about died watching it.... there was too much action for her and it scared her. She was a very clean person, and my dad said she was a great cook..... obviously I didn't inherit the cooking part!

She was the only member in her family who was born in America. Her parents and brothers were born in Holland. They came to America before she was born. They spoke dutch in their home, and so that is the language she learned, when she started kindergarten she had to learn to speak English. She was the only daughter, and lost her mother when she was 12 years old. She had to learn at a young age to cook for her brothers and dad. I will miss her, and I know she is in good hands on the other side.

Dinosaur ABC's!

Aiden has learned how to say dinosuar names that go with every letter of the alphabet, this was his idea because he loves dinosaurs, and he has an excellent memory.
